The Crows and The Prawns

The Crows and The Prawns is a Lexington, KY-based band of Chris Soulis and Deanna Brockman. TCATP play classic Indie-pop influenced by a range of artists from The Avett Brothers to Yo La Tengo and everything good in between. The band is finalizing tracks for their debut album currently titled, "I've Learned So Much and I Feel Fantastic."
The album showcases Chris and Deanna providing all the instrumentation - vocals, guitars, bass, piano, synthesizer, and acoustic drums - as well as, all the song writing, arrangements, engineering, mixing, and mastering. Live, Chris is most often found guitar in hand singing, while Deanna keeps the time, tempo, and melody exhibiting her execeptional talents singing, playing the piano, and at times simultaneously playing percussion and/ or drums. Their stripped down sound, often chaotic, sometimes dreamy, yet always accessible makes for an intensely personal, yet engaging performance.
